To Every Tribe Ministries Itinerary Guidelines

We want to thank you for your interest in TETM. And we appreciate the invitation to encourage your people with the amazing privilege of cross-cultural mission to unreached peoples.

TETM is going through an exciting phase of rapid growth. And because of the many invitations to speak and teach in various churches, conferences and missionary training schools it has become necessary to develop some basic guidelines for our traveling staff.

We obviously want to maximize quality interaction time with your people. At the same time, frequent travel is exhausting. As some of our itinerant staff log many miles and weeks away from their homes and families in this ministry, it is important that we devise common sense strategies which will help them accomplish their objectives among the churches and also avoid travel burnout and discouragement.

Unless other arrangements are agreed upon in advance, we would like to suggest the following travel expense, accommodation and honorarium guidelines.

Travel Expense Guidelines

It would be helpful if travel expenses are reimbursed prior to, or by the time of, departure from your city. We will supply all the needed receipts to justify those expenses.

Accommodation Guidelines

We are often asked our preference for housing accommodations. We are very happy to stay in your homes. As already stated, it is our desire to make the most of our time with your people. Some of our greatest experiences are in the homes of believers. And some of the most significant ministry and fellowship occur there.

However, there are some basic needs which we want to make you aware of.

Homes. We will be happy to be assigned a family home in which to stay while we are with you. However, as we rest and prepare for public ministry, we need some private space. We ask that we be provided with a private bedroom.

Hotels are a great blessing. If your budget allows for our stay in a hotel, we will be most appreciative. And we encourage you to put us in a Motel 6-type motel. These are generally inexpensive but comfortable. A chain hotel normally assures that the basics such as a clean bed, working hot and cold water and room temperature controls will all be functional.

If we are housed in a local hotel, please feel free to arrange for our meals in the homes of mission interested people in the church. We welcome and look forward to these times of fellowship.

Honorarium Guidelines

In addition to covering the travel expenses of our missionaries, we ask that you seriously consider taking a “love offering” for the ministry following our presentation. This would take the place of the usual honorarium such as would be given to someone providing “pulpit supply.” We understand that some churches don’t “pass the plate” as a matter of policy. But neither can we justify the days of travel, preparation and ministry for a token honorarium. In all honesty, we’re not really interested in simply providing pulpit supply for a Sunday, if that’s all you’re interested in. We are looking for churches and individuals who are passionate about getting Christ preached and the gospel established among unreached peoples.

Let us explain our thinking. In our experience, a usual honorarium is in the amount of $75.00 - $200.00 dollars. However, we are involved in an exciting adventure with Christ, with the gospel, to the nations. And we are going to your church with an agenda – To issue a biblical and forthright challenge for your people to get seriously and personally involved with us in this amazing privilege - To get the gospel established among the remaining, least reached people groups of the world.

With this in mind, we unashamedly ask you to publicly encourage the brethren to prepare in advance to respond monetarily to the task of pioneer mission as presented by our TETM missionary.

We simply ask that the congregation be given an opportunity to freely give, according to their ability and upon the merits of the mission we describe, as the Spirit of God directs them.

Our prayer, as we prepare to be with you, is that the Lord will cause our new relationship with your church to become a powerful partnership as we aggressively plunge into these new regions with Christ and the gospel.

Because of the Cross,

The To Every Tribe Ministries Team
