CPCP Property Purchase!


For years, To Every Tribe Ministries has been praying for a facility to train people who have a passion for the glory of God, for reaching unreached people groups, and for the truths of God’s Word that reveal his free sovereign grace. God answered this prayer by directing us to begin the Center for Pioneer Church Planting in 2006. The school rented a church facility for its first session; upon the graduation of our first class in August, we began looking for a permanent facility of our own. Through a casual conversation, we learned about a recently repossessed apartment building in Los Fresnos. It had been built two years earlier, but the builder had lost his funding and the bank had foreclosed.

God had already provided the ministry with two large contributions, which meant we had $250,000 available. The asking price for this building was $348,000. After several meetings, the bank agreed to sell it to us for $310,000. They also offered to loan us the remaining $70,000 and forgive all the interest if we could pay it off in 3 months. We accepted, and God provided it all in just over ONE MONTH! The second session of the CPCP opened in its new debt-free home on January 8, 2007.

The new apartment building is already full with student housing, teaching space, and an office. We are seeking God’s direction about purchasing two duplexes that are behind the new building. A businessman in Georgia has offered to buy them, let TETM use them immediately, and then buy them from him sometime in the future. One of the duplexes would serve as teaching space and the other as housing. We are completely confident in our great God’s faithfulness to provide. Please pray with us for his wisdom and leading. Our desire is not to go ahead of him in presumption or to fall behind him in a lack of faith.
